At my day job I do a lot of advertising for hospitals, doctors and health services. In a meeting yesterday, we discussed what makes a good doctor. I found that most people just want an in-and-out visit with a quick prescription. I was surprised that I was the only person to say a doctor who doesn’t pay attention to the small details is a deal breaker. When I go to the doctor, want them to take the time to look at my medical history, runs tests and actually process my concerns. I feel very fortunate to have found that doctor, Hugo Rodier, MD. His goal isn’t to medicate you, it’s to improve your health so that you don’t have to rely on medications.
Rodier has made a point to educate his patients on the importance of nutrition and the affects different foods have on our well-being. For example, did you know that refined sugar is addictive? Sugar addiction causes something called insulin resistance, a miscommunication in our body at the cellular level that leads to a toxic, oxidized, inflamed environment and compromised cell function. Refined sugars and processed foods are poisoning our bodies, creating chronic (and expensive) diseases and lowering our quality of life.
